Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Hendrick Ekstein insists Amakhosi are going all out to win the Nedbank Cup.
Chiefs will host Baroka FC at Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday with kick off set for 20:15.
“It has been two seasons without winning any silverware,” Ekstein told the club’s official website. “We don’t want to be remembered as players that didn’t bring any trophies to the club.”
“I have watched Baroka recently and they continue to play well. They have some good players and they play good football. It promises to be a difficult match, but I trust that we will win.
“That they beat us previously is history now. We won 2-1 the last time we faced them. That was in January in a league encounter with Ryan Moon and Leonardo Castro scoring the goals.
“The mood in the camp is great. I am working hard and promise to work even harder for the team.
“It is not going to be an easy match against Baroka. But we have prepared well. We definitely want to win this trophy, because we want to leave a legacy and create our own history.”
