There are players who play in the Premier Soccer League because of luck. Think Lucky Baloyi and Ntsikelelo Nyauza.
There are players who play in the Premier Soccer League because of sheer determination and hard work. Think Willard Katsande, Tiyani Mabunda and Solomon Mathe.
There are players who play in the Premier Soccer League because they are gifted and work hard. Think Lebogang Manyama, Khama Billiat and Siphiwe Tshabalala.
Then there are players who play in the Premier Soccer League because they are special and extra ordinary. These are players who do things you would never imagine or expect.
Players who use just a moment of magic to turn the game on its head; ironically, such players appear and set the PSL alight but we only get one every 7 years.
You have to wait like my beloved Bucs waiting for an official trophy before the treble or like the Egyptians waiting for the famine to end.
From a quick glance they look just like any talented player but if you look closer you see they are different and make football look easy whilst causing damage that cannot be quantified.
The difference is that they don’t only have sight like the rest but vision as well. If other players are a syrup then these players are raw honey.
If other players are brass then these players are gold. Think Gift Leremi (2002), Knowledge Musona (2009) and Percy Tau (2016).
NB: Tau joined the Premier Soccer League earlier but set it alight as from 2016.
