Nedbank Cup Last 32 draw explained

The 2016/17 Nedbank Cup last 32 draw will be conducted on Thursday night, 02 February 2017 in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The Nedbank Cup draw will be LIVE on SuperSport from 19h30. The Nedbank Cup round of 32 is made of 16 Premier Division clubs (automatic qualification), eight (8) NFD Clubs and 8 clubs from the SAFA structures.

The SAFA Clubs that have quailed:

African All Stars (Gauteng, ABC Motsepe League), KwaDukuza United (KwaZulu Natal, ABC Motsepe League), Acornbush United (Mpumalanga, ABC Motsepe League), Buya Msuthu (North West, ABC Motsepe League), United Rovers (Northern Cape, SAB League), Days FC (Free State, SAB League) and EC Bees FC (Eastern Cape, ABC Motsepe League).

 The National First Division clubs:

They join eight clubs from the National First Division: Cape Town All Stars, Amazulu, FC Cape Town, Mbombela United, Witbank Spurs, Royal Eagles, Jomo Cosmos and Stellenbosch FC and 16 Premier Division clubs.

Draw Procedure:

Details: Draw Moderator/Master (Luxolo September). Draw Assistants: Professor Ronnie Schloss (Premier Soccer League) and Thulani Sibeko (Nedbank Representative).

  • All 32 clubs will be placed in one pot
  • There will be no seeding
  • In each sequence, the first ball to the drawn will be the home club and the second ball will be their opponent, the away club

This process will be repeated until all fixtures are finalized
