Jali used to make things simple for Manyisa

Orlando Pirates is one team that is well known by superb midfield maestros, players like John Moeti, Helman Mkhalele, Sailor Tshabalala, Benedict Vilakazi, Benson Mhlongo, Teko Modise and since Andile Jali left Pirates haven’t found someone like those guys I mentioned.

Truth be told that Oupa Manyisa was the best player cos Jali used to make things simple for him. Jali was doing hard work by helping on defence and Manyisa will always receive loose balls to contribute. Now that Pirates lack strong players like Jali, Manyisa is exposed.

What’s killing Pirates now also is caretaker coach Augusto Palacios. The guy is failing to have a good combination and he doesn’t have game plans. He can’t make six changes at once and field players that are not used for big games like Mamelodi Sundowns.

I will agree if he used them as substitute and only if Pirates was winning. Pirates lacked from middle field which lead to our defence exposed and instead of dealing with the middle field he made things worse by taking out a defender and put in a striker. What kind of coach can do that and more especially against Sundowns since they have speed, accurate and clever attackers?

Thabo Matlaba also is killing Pirates by always attacking and leaves his position exposed when the counter is against Pirates. I think any coach in charge of Pirates must give him any midfield position he will play better there including Ayanda Gcaba for the central midfield position.

And Pirates must forget about players like Manyisa and Happy Jele and give players like Thembela Sikhakhane, Justice Chabalala, and Thabo Qalinge more game time.
