Hands-off Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic please!

Come on Buccaneers, our time will come! When Micho [Milutin Sredojevic] took over at Orlando Pirates, we had lost hope, many were busy saying the club must be sold, and Micho took over a team that even failed to finish in the top 8 the previous season.

The guy came and revived our team, he gave us hope. We started being one of the competitive teams in local football, when was the last time Pirates still fighting for the league title in the last seven games, before Micho arrival?

Before Micho arrived we had forgotten long time about Champions League. Micho deserves to stay at Bucs, the guy made it clear that he target is to put a second star in that badge. Maybe we can speak after next season, if he fails to deliver, the last time we played the 23rd game still fighting for the title it was 2011/12 before Micho joined us.

With five coaches have came and all dismally failed, things seemed to be falling apart. Micho is still on the verge of succeeding, there is still no need to over analyze things. Micho is just a coach not a player he can make tactics but its players who must play; if you look at yesterday’s game we could have buried the game early in the first half.

Luvuyo Memela and Thamsanqa Gabuza missed clear chances but everyone blame Micho, what was he suppose to do, get in the field and score those chances or he is the one who say players must miss chances?, was it the same Micho who missed penalties against Baroka FC in the Telkom Knockout Final? Come on Buccaneers.

We have been chopping and changing coaches in the past 5 years and what did we achieve in that? We had six coaches in the past 5 years and failed to lift a single trophy. I thought we learned a lesson from that, but I see I was wrong, chopping and changing coaches don’t help at all Buccaneers.

Building a winning team it’s not an overnight thing. I understand we might be hungry for trophies but changing coaches won’t help us believe me, every coach will need time to build his winning team.

Let’s learn something from teams such as Sundowns and Wits locally, even to big teams like Liverpool abroad, look how long it took for Pitso Mosimane to have this unstoppable team, even Gavin Hunt at Wits, he spent years with no titles.

Some Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns fans have joined the campaign of Micho must go, they can’t wait to see the guy out of the picture once again. Let’s not allow them fool us Buccaneers please, Buccaneers khani thembe mna ngoku, let the guy stay bafethu.
