Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has signed a new five-year contract with the Premier League club.
A statement from Tottenham said, “We are delighted to announce that Heung-Min Son has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2023.
“The South Korea forward, 26, has scored 47 goals in 140 appearances for us since signing from Bayer Leverkusen in August, 2015.
“A three-time winner of the South Korean Footballer of the Year award, Son overtook former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung to become the top Asian scorer in Premier League history with our only goal in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in November, 2017.
“Son became the first Asian player to win the Premier League’s Player of the Month award in September, 2016 and followed it up with his second award in April, 2017.”
