The 2017 Carling Black Label Champion Cup featuring Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates has proven to be quite a popular event on the football calendar. Tickets are officially sold out; 12 days ahead of the much anticipated showpiece on 29 July 2017.
The overwhelming reaction by South African football fans, for the past six years, shows that this is an extraordinary derby that distinguishes itself from others as it gives them the privilege to Be the Champion Coach by influencing the starting line-up. This year, the fan experience was further enhanced by allowing fans to also select their preferred formation.
