Atletico Madrid have released their new home kit for the 2019/20 season. Next season’s shirt maintains Atletico Madrid’s traditional Red & White stripes, which are also present on the sleeves.
On the inside, we can find the year of Atletico’s foundation – 1903 – and trident of Neptune, which symbolises their bond with the city of Madrid and the fountain in which they celebrate their titles. A Spanish flag, representing their country, is present on the back of the net of the shirt. The shorts will be blue, whereas the socks will be predominantly red with a small, blue line surrounding the calf muscle.
The kit pays tribute to their last decade and is inspired by the one with which they won the Europa League in Hamburg in 2010. That trophy kick-started one of our club’s most successful phases, and next season will be the tenth anniversary of their win.
Since then, their men’s first team has won nine titles (one LaLiga, three Europa Leagues, one Copa del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup) and their women’s side has won four trophies (three leagues and one cup).
Atletico Madrid’s new kit will be available from May 23 at their Madrid and online official stores.
