Amajimbos eye Westphalia scalp

South African National Under-17 coach Molefi Ntseki said Amajimbos were ready for their second match against Germany’s select side Westphalia in the Four Nations Tournament in Namibia.

The match is scheduled for Thursday, kick-off at 16:00 Namibian time.

Amajimbos drew their first match 1-1 against hosts Namibia on Wednesday and they will go into this match with their spirits sky high. The German side will be low on confidence following a 3-0 hammering by Ghana in a match also played on Wednesday.

Ntseki believes Amajimbos have adjusted well to conditions in Namibia and said he was impressed with how they performed in the first match but added they will have to do even better against the Germans.

“Our boys have to dig deep for a win this afternoon. We only have one point thus far and that is not good enough for us. We need to make use of all the chances we create, we need to score as many goals as possible,” said head coach Molefi Ntseki. “We are here on a mission.”

The match between Amajimbos and Westphalia will kick off at 16h00 Namibian time, while hosts Namibia will take on the Ghanaians at 18h00. All the action is taking place at the Swakopmund Sport Centre.
